Emmia was briefly involved in a controversy with Hasan Piker and Destiny, in which Emmia was accused of being a Crypto-fascist or Crypto-racist for her engagement with controversial memes like r/frenworld, racially charged language (spamming the N-word in DGG Chat), as well as dancing around with a clown wig on (which was alleged to be a reference to a popular Alt-Right meme "Clown World").[citation needed] She was also criticized for her sharing of a controversial meme that states "bye bye Illegals,"[2] as well as her posting in blackface in her Discord and an image with the cartoon character Scooby-Doo saying "Riggers" (the joke being that Scooby-Doo replaces the first letter in a word with an R, implying he was saying the N-word.)[3]
Destiny Awards
Emmia won the first 
Orbiter of the Year award in 2019. The award was discontinued the following year, making her the only person to win the award.
