Sam Hyde is a cult-comedy figure associated with the comedy sketch troupe Million Dollar Extreme[1], he is known for his unconventional comedy skits that often rely on awkwardness, discomfort, and embarrassment, and his involvement in the internet celebrity boxing scene.
Comedy
He has performed in or been related to a number of public pranks, in 2013 he hosted a TEDx talk titled 2070 Paradigm Shift[2] in which he claimed that in 2070 an explosion in births would lead to a milk shortage meaning a future earth government would require men and women to be genetically modified to lactate and be milked monthly and that the problem of the elderly and disabled will have been solved because they will all be killed.
Broadly his brand of comedy would be considered anti-humor, in that it often lacks traditional punchlines and sometimes derives comic value by presenting scenarios that are played straight within a premise that is absurd or subverts normal values, such as MDE's "Knife School" video [3] which subverts the premise of a self-defence instructional by encouraging viewers to adopt the role of an armed violent attacker, highlighting the advantage and utility provided by attacking someone with a knife.
