DDoS kid
The DDoS kid was a 19-year-old student[1] attending the University of Charleston 
who targeted Destiny with Denial of Service (colloquially known as DDoSing) attacks over the span of a few months[2] in an attempt to shut off his stream in 2011. According to Destiny the DDoS kid had obtained Destiny's IP through the chatrooms of Justin.tv [3] and the continued attacks would lead Destiny to writing a comprehensive guide to prevent DDoS attacks.
Destiny unsuccessfully attempted to get the kid to appear on Judge Judy. [4]
Destiny contacted the DDoD kid's father[5] to attempt to resolve the situation, who informed him that his son would cease contact with Destiny and cease the attacks. However, according to Destiny the attacks would continue.
On-steam appearances with Destiny
- A remembertomorrow0 video—Destiny calling DDoS kid - Starcraft 2—provides the first conversation that Destiny has with the DDoS kid.[6] The two exchange insults for the majority of the conversation.
- Another short clip posted by remembertomorrow0, DDoS kid trying to extort Destiny - Starcraft 2, has the DDoS kid and Destiny briefly speaking, for the DDoS kid to tell Destiny that he is "the man of this motherfuckah'," and ask Destiny to pay him $300. Destiny declines and the clip ends.

Debate with Pisco
Destiny also had a debate with Pisco on the ethics of Destiny's plan to kill the DDoS kid if the attacks continued.
Destiny argued that he had exhausted all legal means to deter the DDoS kid from continuing the DDoS attacks including speaking to his parents and the FBI.
Pisco argued that law has a purpose, and that self-remedies may not always be immediately available and that it is within a societies' best interest to defer to people in the legal system to resolve these remedies to avoid violence.
Decoding the Gurus
On Decoding the Gurus, the two hosts (Matt and Chris) discuss the situation and ask Destiny if he still takes as strong of a stance on the DDoS kid as he did back then. Destiny attempts to contextualize the situation that he was in that lead him to contemplate such an option, listing the recent birth of his son and having to pay for two separate residences while relying on the paltry earnings during the early years of streaming in 2011. Destiny states that he thinks property can be worth a life.
