Emotes, short for "emoticons", are visual symbols used in digital communication to convey emotions, reactions, or concepts. They add context and emotional nuance to written text, helping to clarify the tone and intent of a message. Emotes are widely used in streaming sphere and knowing the meaning behind the emotes can provide another level of engagement and interaction between streamers and their audiences.
Combos
Combos serve the purpose of tidying up chat discussions and measuring the strength of specific emotes. When several individuals in the chat synchronously type the same emote in a consecutive manner, it triggers a C-C-C-COMBO effect. There is a common occurrence during large combos of chatters using the emote ChibiDesti 
to break the combo. These chatters are universally disliked by everyone.
Current Record
The record for the largest combo was thought to be a 
C-C-C-COMBO: 222x, instigated by Destiny himself.[1] However new data shows that the user responsible for the screenshot likely had a combo-breaker user muted, leaving the actual chatter-generated combo to be somewhere closer to C-C-C-COMBO: 109x and C-C-C-COMBO: 151x when properly separated.[2]
Therefore, the largest combo is currently thought to be a 
C-C-C-COMBO: 206x achieved during the 2019 Destiny Awards while viewing the runner-up Nathan Clip of the Year.[3]
Interestingly, the highest combos on record are actually mostly due to the Bot [Rustle] spamming emotes, the highest of them being a 1122 count 
FerretLOL combo.[4][5][6]
