Marquett Burton is an American live streamer, content creator and self-professed Technologist
most notable within DGG for his debate with Destiny that ultimately devolved into memes.
The debate revolved around Destiny's acceptance of an NFT streamer clip sponsor that essentially allowed users to buy the rights to a non-fungible token
(NFT) of partnered streamers' video clips. The sponsorship was seen as hypocritical by many in DGG (as well as external communites) as hypocritical as Destiny had previously denounced NFTs as "scam bullshit."[1][2] Through the debate, Destiny had one simple question for Marquett—"What is an NFT?"—which would never be answered throughout the conversation. The conversation bore not much else, and eventually Marquett began to take viewer call-ins to ask questions, leading to the meme of asking "What is an NFT?" out right, or more complex and complicated trolls such as the Enough Tea meme, as well as other trolls of varying complexity in between.
