WHALES is an emote that is a variant of NAILS, which was added and removed quickly due to its negative connotations. It was used in reference to adeptthebest, xQc's ex-partner, who is referred to as 'the whale' by xQC's community as an insult.
On the 3rd of October 2023, adept went live to leak drama, alleging that xQc had paid his head moderator, Zostradamus, to sleep with him. She was later banned for leaking private info, including Zostradamus' name[1]. WHALES was re-added and removed during this stream[2].
