Leeching is the act of taking deliberate, excessive action to be close to other, more popular streamers and content creators with the goal of taking/gaining some of their viewers, much like the leech animal will suck blood out of other animals for its survival. Similar terms include clout-chasing and clout-sharking.
Several orbiters, such as Qorantos, Mercoffdaperc, DariusIRL, XenaTheWitcher, and Lav have been accused of leeching from Destiny by repeatedly joining his Discord call during streams at a much higher rate than other orbiters.[1][2][3][4][5],
