Qorantos, also known as Q (or more disparagingly by DGG as Quiznos—in reference to the American sub sandwich eatery that sounds remarkably similar to his name) was the former co-host and organizer of Kick or Keep.

On April 10, 2024, Qorantos announced that he would no longer be working for Destiny as of April 8, 2024. It is currently speculated that this is due to Destiny's views on the ongoing Israeli-Hamas war. Destiny was quick to make light of the situation the morning after,[1] as Qorantos announced it only after Destiny's stream had ended for the night.

Qorantos' position as the co-host and organizer of Kick or Keep was tentative before quitting. Lycan, Wesbtw, MrMouton and others were all vying for his position throughout his tenure, though none ever successfully removed him.[2]

Controversies

Soon to be ex-orbiter LMAO.[3]

Qorantos thought his monthly salary was weekly for several days, and he shared this news with his family before realizing that his salary was in fact monthly. Chatters make frequent reference to this whenever the subject of Qorantos comes up, typically posting something along the lines of Chatter: >HE THOUGHT IT WAS WEEKLY BTW (DANKMEMES would be an applicable emote at the mention ) especially whenever Qorantos makes a mistake by either slacking on his duties as Kick or Keep showrunner. Additionally, it was referenced on one of the many r/place templates used by DGG.[4]

In his capacity as an orbiter, Q's chats with Destiny were presumed to garner extraordinarily high view counts, hence why two-thirds of every Destiny stream of 2023 have thus far been devoted to meaningful, friendly, and insightful conversations with Q.

Q has mixed reception (arguably, mostly poor) within DGG, as his semi-regular contributions to the stream were made in spite of his poor internet connection and microphone quality, often contributing to him being late for Kick or Keep shows and failing to actually get half of any given show's guests to appear. It has also been claimed that much of his job was actually done by unpaid volunteers.[5]

On stream appearances with Destiny

First Appearance

Qorantos first appeared challenging Destiny on his views on Islam.[6] The main "controversial" meme posted on Destiny's twitter that led up to this discourse involved Minecraft Steve's mining the Kaaba, the cubical shrine in Mecca, dictating the direction of prayer for Muslims.

A few other tweets also had various jabs at the Prophet Muhammad for taking a child bride. The Minecraft meme tweet went viral, currently sitting around 24+ million views.[7]

Qorantos speaks with Destiny about how (put best by Destiny himself) "killing people for adultery and apostasy for this guy is a-okay but posting meme pics of the Kaaba is a step too far"[8] In fairness, Qorantos had the more moderated of the extremist positions, that he (Qorantos) would not personally kill Destiny, but that Destiny should expect violence from others who believe his disrespect of the sand-god's prophet are out-of-line.
