Cabge is an emote within DGG Chat that has the general shape of an emote like Smadge, or non-DGG Chat emotes such as Madge or Sadge.

History

The emote was created by chatter cweetron [Rustle] after he had a dream that such an emote existed.[1] His emote was originally made available only through a custom script to add it into chat, until it was eventually added as a normal chat emote.

For a brief period of time the emote was phrase banned in chat (around February 02, 2025) due to excessive spam. This meant only users with the Protected flair could post the emote. It was later un-phrase-banned around April 02, 2025.

At the end of December 2024, the chatters yuniDev [Rustle] and IOBOBC [Rustle] had their use of Cabge target-banned by RTBA, by making the emote appear invisible when posted by these users, persisting while the Christmas emote set was active. This was formally removed during December 2025, when PRSEK restored their Cabge, after the ban had carried over from 2024's Christmas emote set.

Rare Variants

The Red Cabge rare variant was added on August 31, 2025.[2] It functions similarly to the glorp and WEOW random variants that create a sort-of-random chance based on the the last few milliseconds of the chat messages' Unix Wikipedia timestamp.

Red Cabge A Red cabbage Wikipedia variant of Cabge. Has a 1 in 100 (1.00%) chance in occurring. Despite it being red cabbage, this emote utilizes a purple pulsating effect. The pulsating effect is greatly reduced in scale/size compared to the WEOW and glorp pulsating effects.
