Several different commands exist within DGG Chat in order to utilize features that are not present in other streaming platform chats.

Command prefixes

For the average user, / forward slash commands will constitute the prefix for the majority of the commands available.

Commands

/baninfo Check your ban status.
/die
/suicide
/bitly
Mute yourself for 10 minutes.
/embed URL
/e URL
Embed a video to bigscreen.
/emotes Returns a list of all available emotes in text form.
/exit Exit the conversation you have open.
/help List all chat commands.
/highlight <nick> Highlight messages from <nick> for easier visibility. Has a similar appearance to a user tagging you directly. You can unhighlight a user's messages with /unhighlight <nick>.
/ignore <nick> Stop showing messages from <nick>. Typing /ignore with no parameters displays a list of all users that you have ignored.
/maxlines <lines> Set the maximum number of lines the chat will store.
/me <message> Sends a message in italics.
/mentions <nick>
/m <nick>
Return a list of messages where <nick> is mentioned. Defaults to showing your own messages if <nick> is left blank.
/message <nick>
/msg <nick>
/whisper <nick>
/w <nick>

/notify <nick>
Sends a private message to <nick>. You can view past private messages in destiny.gg/profile/messages or with /open.
/open <nick>

Open a conversation with a user. You can also view past private messages in destiny.gg/profile/messages.

Starts a poll. Type the number of a corresponding choice in chat to vote for that option.
/pollstop
/votestop
Stop a poll you started.
/postembed URL
/pe URL
Posts a video embed in chat.
/reply
/r
Reply to the last whisper you received.
/showpoll

Show last poll.
/spoll
/svote
Start a sub-weighted poll.
/stalk <nick> <limit>
/s <nick> <limit>
Return a list of messages from <nick> - <limit> specifies the number of messages returned, e.g. 1 returns 1 message, 10 returns 10, etc.
/tag <nick> <color> <note> Mark <nick>'s messages. Typing /tag with no parameters returns a list of all users you have tagged, the color assigned to them, and any note you may have added.
/timestampformat Set the time format of the chat.
/unhighlight Unhighlight <nick>.
/unignore Remove <nick> from your ignore list.
/unignoreall Remove all users from your ignore list.
/untag Untag <nick>.

Tagging

Tagging via the /tag command allows you to add a color and or note to a user in chat to visually distinguish them or record some piece of information. Available colors for tags:

green (#61bd4f) yellow (#f2d600) orange (#ffab4a) red (#eb5a46) purple (#c377e0)
blue (#0079bf) sky (#00c2e0) lime (#51e898) pink (#ff80ce) black (#4d4d4d)

Tab complete

  • Press Tab to autocomplete an emote or nickname in chat.
    • Pressing Tab multiple times cycles through the autocomplete bar in the event there are multiple autocomplete suggestions.
    • Prefixing a nickname with @ prevents you from autocompleting an emote.
  • Double pressing the tab key replies to the last user to tag you in chat. (Requires a recent tag)

Community Bot commands

Emotes

The Emotes bot data is maintained by tena [Rustle] and uses data from the eponymous tena.dev which provides other information relating to DGG chat.

!emotes Returns the top three emotes posted by a user as well as a link to their users' profile.
!emote <emote> Links to the top three posters of an emote in the last 30 days as well as a link to the emote profile.

RandomFerret

RandomFerret is a bot created by Polecat [Rustle] that links to pictures of ferrets. Wikipedia

!ferret Returns a link to a picture of a ferret.
