This article is meant to catalogue the rules governing the rules governing Destiny's community as well as the wiki-specific rules.

DGG rules

1. Respect Destiny and stream guests

Direct criticism is acceptable. There is a line between good faith criticism and baseless insults, though. Any accusations of “bad faith” or “lying” are unwelcome unless they are supported by incredibly powerful evidence; if you think either Destiny or some frequent member of the stream is engaged in blatant lies, why even bother participating, unless simply to anti-fan?

2. No doxxing

Posting someone's personally identifiable information (PII) for the purposes of creating harassment or trouble for them is not acceptable. Some things are plainly allowed, such as the state a congressmen lives in, and some things are plainly disallowed, such as a streamer's phone number or home address. If you're confused, ask yourself if it's necessary to reveal the PII in order to convey whatever it is you're trying to convey.

3. No threats of violence

Do not make genuine threats of violence, nor encourage other people to commit individual acts of violence or terrorism. Some limited exceptions apply to this, e.g. wishing one side to win a war, but if you play cute with this you will incur swift punishment.

4. No bigotry

Edgy jokes are funny, but not in the presence of genuine bigotry. It's okay to make jokes about every group of person, but if people (or the mods) are getting the impression that you're venturing into genuinely hateful territory, expect to some behavioral correction. Genuinely hateful and racist remarks will be harshly punished.

5. No sexual comments about women

Sexual or appearance-based comments about women are some of the most otherizing remarks that are commonly made in the community. Unless the content is directly inviting these types of comments (e.g. saying a woman looks sexy in a bikini contest), these types of comments should be entirely avoided.

6. Attack arguments, not attributes

Especially when it comes to large political disagreements, the focus should be on criticizing the poor or untrue arguments made by the people we disagree with. Spamming pictures of Trump, accompanied with "fat lol" or "bald lol" is not constructive, leads to a lot of collateral damage, and is overall detrimental to the disposition and perception of the community.

7. No organized harassment or reporting

Calling for other people to engage in hateful or unconstructive behavior against others is prohibited. Calling for people to engage with other groups or content creators in comment sections or other public places generally doesn't rise to the level of harassment, but calling for people to simply demean or attack others, especially individuals, likely would. Mass reporting or emailing campaigns are likewise not permitted, unless directed by or part of some broader campaign greenlit by the moderators or Destiny.

8. No NSFW posting

There are plenty of places on the internet to share and enjoy NSFW images, but there's no reason why it needs to be posted in this community. If people want to make references to NSFW stuff that is news worthy, or NSFW due to it being gory (e.g. about ongoing war or conflict images, or certain memes), that's acceptable, but just linking to pornographic or adult material is not allowed.

9. Do not harass moderators

If you need assistance from a moderator for some particular thing, then request assistance in the ordinary and regular manner. Do not incessantly ping or spam moderators for your personal pet project.

10. No Concern Trolling

Sometimes people make mistakes, sometimes things need to be changed, it is both possible and easy to express these concerns without the doom and gloom people so commonly attach to them. Saying "hey, maybe we should re-examine or change rule x, due to abc reasons" is totally fine, saying "wow, rule x is why no one will ever take us seriously, this is why every person on the internet hates us, this is the end of our community" is difficult to engage with and doesn't foster productive conversation.

Wiki-specific rules

Content Guidelines

If you would like to work on an article and are uncertain if your article meets any of the following standards, feel free to contact moderation.

What warrants an article?

Standards for creating an article are as follows:

  1. The event occurred on stream with Destiny.
  2. Destiny has made reference to the event on stream.
  3. Destiny was referenced in the event.
  4. A "community leader" was involved in any of the ways mentioned above (e.g. Dan's personal channel uploads).
  5. DGG would find some value from the page (e.g. Anything Else? Intro Smash Cuts).

Relevancy test

In the interest of not overwhelming individuals with massive articles, try to be selective of which appearances you would like to log or create an article about. In other words: "If you were introducing this person to a friend, and you had five minutes to do it, what things would you cover?"

Additional sub-articles can still be creating using seperate pages for individuals interested in reading a more in-depth article on certain aspects/events surrounding an individual.

NSFW

NSFW links (Fansly, OnlyFans, etc.) are acceptable if they are relevant. Outside of this, private explicit conversations/images/videos of people, inside or outside of the community are forbidden.

Critiques

Unsubstantiated critique or demeaning of any individual/group does not belong on the wiki pages. Content concerning minors should not be on the wiki.

Neutrality

Given the wide range of individuals Destiny has interacted with on stream, some people inevitably have more negative appearances than positive ones (e.g. Lav). Conversely, some individuals may have more positive than negative appearances (e.g. Dan). Regardless of the balance, it is essential to maintain a neutral tone when recounting these events or describing the actions of these individuals. Failure to do so may result in the removal of editing privileges and potentially a ban from DGG's main website.

A recounting of objectively negative appearances of an individual are permitted, however, the recounting of such events should be done in as neutral a fashion as possible and must pass the relevancy test (§ Relevancy test).

A-logging

Avoid simply listing every negative action an individual has taken and including it in an article. While it’s acceptable to note if most of someone's on-stream interactions with Destiny are negative, it’s inappropriate to document every negative instance without considering their other appearances. Additionally, ensure any negative moments pass the aforementioned "relevancy test" (e.g., avoid dedicating an entire article to a one-off insult unless said insult was extensively discussed on stream). Failure to do so will result in the removal of editing privileges and potentially a ban on DGG's main website.

Citation and Sourcing

If a claim is made, provide a citation or source for that claim using the {{cite}} template, or flag it as needing a citation using the {{citation needed}} Template. Avoid writing anything you have not found a specific citation for unless it is considered "general knowledge" (e.g. Destiny's real name is Steven Bonnell, Vegan Gains is a vegan, Mizkif is a member of OTK, etc.)

Prohibited material

  1. Do not upload any copyrighted materials or intellectual property.
  2. Do not upload any materials that violate any laws of the United States (e.g. posting classified information, posting obviously libelous information, posting a threat of violence on a page or implying threats of violence).
  3. Do not upload any content that is visually sexual or violent in nature (e.g. posting pornography, nude/lewd photos of someone, live leak esque videos/photos of gore)

There may be a use-case for any of these things (e.g. footage of the 2021 Gaza War Wikipedia that Destiny is arguing with someone about) but you should only post them on the wiki if greenlit by the moderators.

Behavioral expectations

Respect and civility

Do not harass, attack, or demean any users.

Conduct in talk pages

Provide high quality discussions in talk pages and keep the discussion relevant to the page.

Moderation and enforcement

Moderators

Spr1ggs is the head moderator of the wiki, with TapeVerdana and Devonnn also serving as moderators.

Violation Consequences

Violating any of these rules will result in bans in both this Wiki and DGG Chat. Conversely, a ban in DGG chat will result on a temporary restriction of your ability to edit within the Wiki.

Contact Information

Contact with moderation can be made in DGG chat, the Destiny.gg discord server's #dgg-wiki channel, any of the Moderators' talk pages, or any other channels (e.g. Twitter/X, Bluesky, Discord DMs) they have elected to include. A more official channel coming soon.™

Privacy and personal information

User Privacy

Do not collect and post personal information relating to any Wiki users (if you wish to expose a user using sock puppets/multiple accounts please refer to moderation, do not post on the wiki about it).

Sharing personal information

Sharing Personally Identifying Information (PII) will almost never be necessary on the Wiki beyond the name and rough geographical location of any given individual. Do not create a dox Wikipedia list. The scope of potentially identifying information should be limited to anything that is public and relevant to their role in the DGG universe should be the limit. Just because someone is or was antagonistic to Destiny/DGG does not greenlight anyone to go out of their way to compile personal information about them (especially on an official Destiny.gg platform).

Be overly cautious if you are uncertain as to whether it is relevant information, chances are nothing more than a person's real name will be relevant to who they are (if even that) unless they have elected to share their location very publicly (e.g. . The following is a list of general guidelines to help determine what is an appropriate display of PII.

Common examples of PII
Appropriate Not Appropriate
Addresses It is quite relevant to detail that Destiny has lived in Omaha, Los Angeles, and Miami; especially for the purposes of referring to specific time frames like the Nebraska Arc or when talking about the canvassing for Mark Gudgel's campaign for the Mayorship of Omaha. It is not relevant to detail his specific address, phone number, frequent locations that he visits, or anything that specific. Additionally, someone if it was leaked, for example, Dan lived in Rio de Jainero, it would not be appropriate to display such information if he had not previously discussed it prior.
Specifying where someone lives can be entirely relevant to their article or content, for example, it is well known information that Hasan lives in Los Angeles, and it might come up when discussing any of the controversy surrounding when he purchased his house in 2021. It would not be appropriate to specify the address that Hasan lives at.
Names An individual using their legal name (e.g. Michael Beyer, Myron Gaines, Steven Bonnell) can appropriately be referred to by said name, as they have elected to share their public name. Individuals like Econoboi or President Sunday should not have their names listed in on the Wiki as they have very clearly elected to avoid the use of their name by avoiding use of it online.
Phone Numbers There is no use-case scenario for posting someone's phone number on the DGG wiki.
Medical Information If someone has elected to publicly share a medical condition (e.g. Boogie2988) then it can be written about briefly (e.g. the allegations Destiny made that Boogie was lying about having cancer and subsequent drama). Do not post private, unshared medical conditions. Additionally, you should not be using medical conditions to attack someone's character (§ Attack arguments, not attributes).
