Steven Jason Williams, known online as Boogie2988, is an old-school YouTuber, known for his "rage" videos in which he would role-play a fictional gamer character named Francis, who was a hyper-exaggerated gamer stereotype.

Boogie's more contemporary appearances involve different projects with Keemstar, host of Drama Alert and Lolcow Live. As of July 18, 2024, Boogie is no longer associated with Lolcow Live [1] as he admitted to lying about having been diagnosed with Polycythemia vera (a type of blood cancer) after pressure from Destiny during an initial encounter on the Anything Else? podcast featuring Dan (as co-host) and xQc (as a guest).

He had previously interacted with Destiny on Episode 28 (Old Age versus New Age) of the now-cancelled Kick or Keep.

Cancer

Destiny reacts to Coffeezilla confronting Boogie on a crypto scam

Destiny Confronts Boogie2988 For Faking Cancer And CRASHES Keemstar's Show

On July 9, 2024, Turkey Tom and Destiny reacted to a video from Coffeezilla shedding light on an alleged crypto Wikipedia scam performed by Boogie.[2] While watching the video, general doubt was casted on Boogie's frequent claims of victimhood, particularly his claim of Polycythemia vera, a type of blood cancer. Upon the video's conclusion, Coffezilla wishes Boogie "good health," and Boogie responds, "It's cancer man, you don't—people don't generally get better." Upon hearing this, Destiny stated the following:

"That's such a shitty thing to do, what an unbelievable fucking-what an actual piece of shit. Why the fuck would he say that at the end, that's such a disgusting thing to say: 'It's cancer you always die'—that's not true there are so many different types of cancer, with certain screenings depending what you're at risk for; so if you're a man at a certain age they recommend things like colonoscopies... Why would he say that? That's such a stupid, fucking horrible thing to say. I wouldn't even care so much that he said that, but the fact that he'll say that and then say he has cancer, and he's collecting money for his treatment at the same time."[3]

Destiny

Following this statement, Destiny begins investigating Boogie's cancer claim.

Destiny investigates Boogie's cancer claim

Destiny begins by reviewing a video uploaded to Boogie's YouTube channel titled "I have a rare form of Cancer" on November 15, 2022. In the video, Boogie shared his recent diagnosis of a rare blood cancer—Polycythemia vera—which he claims was likely triggered by his long-term testosterone supplement use.

Initially, Destiny questions why Boogie has only recently begun sharing the impacts of this disease over the last few months. As the video progresses, Destiny further questions why Boogie has not provided any proof of his disease, especially considering his requests for money from his audience. Destiny concludes his reaction by remarking that Boogie's description of his disease does not seem consistent with a typical cancer diagnosis. Destiny, admittedly arguing based off his intuition, infers that one could introduce the disease Boogie claims to have by introducing something to the body which causes an overproduction in red blood cells. Destiny further explains that cancer is typically caused by some genetic mutation/defect, and not some exogenous agent like testosterone (which Boogie claims to have been on).

Following the completion of Boogie's "PSA" regarding his cancer diagnosis, Destiny begins researching Polycythemia in earnest. Upon reading the primary causes for Secondary Polycythemia(Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), Obesity, and Testosterone therapy), Destiny notes that Boogie "hits all the darts on all the boards". After further investigation, Destiny concludes the following:

"It sounds to me like, when he says he has polycythemia vera, he's alluding to a type of polycythemia that can cause an elevation of red blood cells in the body. However, everything he talks about for why this elevation is happening, makes it sound not like this (polycythemia vera), it makes it sound like the secondary polycythemia, meaning it's being induced by something else, so it's not cancer."[4]

Destiny, concluding Boogie likely does not have cancer

Destiny continues, arguing that the only thing Boogie truly possesses at the moment is an elevation in red blood cells. Destiny explains that this increase in red blood cells is likely attributed to Boogie's overweightness, sleep apnea, and testosterone treatments. Destiny chooses to re-watch Boogie's Cancer PSA and notes the following:

  • 58:18 The "cancer test" Boogie is participating in is a sleep study to find out if he has sleep apnea, which could be a likely cause for his increased red blood cell count, rather than a genetic mutation of his bone marrow.
  • 1:00:22 Boogie's doctor may have used the term "Polycythemia" but did not use the cancer form of "Polycythemia vera" or "Primary Polycythemia." Boogie's doctor likely said Boogie had an increase in red blood cells due to exogenous factors (such as the previously mentioned OSA, Testosterone and Obesity) and not a genetic mutation.
  • 1:07:52 The causes of Polycythemia Vera are unknown, and Boogie's mention of testosterone treatment in his initial video indicate that Boogie likely received a diagnosis of Secondary Polycythemia.

Following a chatter's inquiry, Destiny explains his motivation for reviewing Boogie's claim in such detail. He states that he is partially motivated due to his personal experiences dealing with a cancer diagnosis for his child's mother, and that he is very irritated with Boogie's "Woe is me" Wikipedia attitude for a cancer diagnosis he is seemingly faking.

Destiny asserts once more that Boogie's increased red blood cell count is attributed to his obesity and testosterone treatment, meaning he likely has Secondary Polycythemia and not the cancerous Polycythemia Vera. Before the stream's conclusion, Destiny watches a twitter-video from Boogie wherein he responds to allegations of his faking cancer and threatens to sue individuals who claim as much. Upon seeing this, Destiny argues Boogie is a liar and a "piece of shit", and requests for Keemstar to direct message him on twitter so he may confront Boogie on his fake cancer directly.

Investigation Highlights
  • 41:19 Destiny begins investigating Boogie's cancer claims.
  • 42:27 Destiny questions why Boogie has not shown a receipt/doctor's note indicating his disease.
  • 44:35 A chatter claims it is unreasonable for Destiny to request written evidence in such a scenario. Destiny disagrees, arguing that Boogie requesting of money in this scenario warrants a higher burden of proof.
  • 46:04 A chatter suggests that Boogie's video is merely a PSA, to inform his audience he has cancer, and not a request for money. Destiny disagrees, arguing that Boogie's entire streaming life is a GoFundMe, Wikipedia and questions why Boogie would announce this if he wasn't expecting financial assistance from his audience.
  • 46:56 Destiny questions how Boogie can simultaneously claim the cancer does not affect him, while arguing he's been negatively affected the disease.
  • 49:37 A chatter asks if Destiny believes Boogie will lose weight, Destiny replies "not without a significant drug intervention".
  • 50:56 A chatter asks Destiny if he believes Boogie's girlfriend is real. Destiny replies that he could be, and given that Boogie is "highly manipulative", it's likely the girlfriend is genuinely with him.
  • 52:26 Destiny questions Boogie's description of his "cancer", arguing that Boogie likely introduced something to his body(like testosterone) to cause an increase in red blood cells, unlike a genetic mutation typically attributed to cancer.
  • 53:09 Destiny begins reading up on Secondary Polycythemia.
  • 55:07 Upon reading further about the disease, Destiny notes that Boogie "hits all the darts on all the boards".
  • 55:49 Destiny researches Secondary Polycythemia further, concludes Boogie does not have cancer.
  • 58:00 Destiny rewatches Boogie's "I have cancer" video.
  • 58:15 A chatter questions why Boogie is taking the "cancer test" again. Destiny explains that Boogie is in fact participating in a "sleep study" to find out is he has sleep apnea, which would be the most likely cause for his increased red blood cell count, and not polycythemia vera.
  • 1:00:22 Destiny explains the exogenous factors contributing to Boogie's increased red blood cell count.
  • 1:02:33 A chatter questions why Boogie needs testosterone treatment, Destiny explains Boogie's age and obesity likely lead to his decreased testosterone which is why he sought treatment.
  • 1:06:18 Destiny searches the causes for Polycythemia Vera.
  • 1:08:59 A chatter asks Destiny why he's so motivated to research this subject, Destiny explains that he has a slight personal attachment given his child's mother had cancer, and the idea that Boogie may be faking cancer is deplorable to him.
  • 1:11:11 Destiny explains that the treatment of symptoms for Polycythemia vera and Secondary Polycythemia are likely the same.
  • 1:14:54 Destiny watches a twitter-video from Boogie responding to allegations of his faking cancer. Upon seeing this, Destiny remarks that Boogie is a "piece of shit" and is "completely lying".

Destiny confronts Boogie

On July 10, 2024 Destiny confronted Boogie on the Lolcow Live podcast.[5] During this confrontation, Destiny accused Boogie of falsifying a Polycythemia vera diagnosis to fuel a GoFundMe campaign under false pretenses. Destiny argued that all the primary symptoms and subsequent treatments Boogie reported are consistent with Secondary Polycythemia, rather than a Polycythemia vera. Destiny further maintains that while the treatments for both Polycythemia and Polycythemia vera are similar, this should not be taken as a confirmation of blood cancer as Boogie claims.

During the show, Boogie's primary defense centered around the presence of specific hormone markers in his blood, which he claimed were definitive indicators of Polycythemia vera. He argued that these markers, along with increased red blood cell counts and hemoglobin levels, led his doctors to diagnose him with the condition without a bone marrow biopsy initially. Boogie went on to argue that the diagnosis was based on these blood tests and hormone indicators, asserting that they were sufficient proof at the time he initially shared his diagnosis. Boogie continued, and described how he had been fighting this cancer for years with the help of blood thinners and phlebotomies. Destiny took issue with this, arguing that if Boogie's blood marker's truly showed signs of Polycythemia vera, his doctors would have ordered a bone marrow biopsy much sooner. He further explains that Boogie's claim of needing money for a bone-marrow biopsy, despite allegedly confirming the diagnosis two years ago with blood markers, is yet another scheme to extract more money from his audience under false pretenses.

Throughout the conversation, Destiny routinely asked for Boogie to provide a single piece of evidence (to a private party) relating to his diagnosis. Boogie continually denied this request, asserting he wishes to hold on to the "last vestiges of [his] privacy." Eventually, Destiny offered to pay $5,000 towards Boogie's medical treatment if he could provide verifiable proof of his cancer diagnosis, which was also met with Boogie's refusal. As the call concludes, Destiny states the following before departing:

"I just want people to remember in the future then, if Boogie says, "I have to do x-y-z scam to raise money because my medical bills are hurting so much", he can speak publicly about his medical issues to scam his fans for money, but he can't take five-thousand dollars to privately confirm a diagnosis that he already publicly said that he has. Doesn't make any sense."[6]

Destiny
Discussion Highlights
  • 1:18:00 Destiny joins the lolcow live podcast to confront Boogie, asks Boogie if his doctor gave him a cancer diagnosis.
  • 1:21:10 Destiny provides a complete breakdown to substantiate his belief that Boogie is faking cancer.
  • 1:22:41 Destiny: "two years ago you said you had a cancer diagnosis... now you just said [that] now they're doing a biopsy to check for confirmation... are we treating a blood cancer without actually confirming it yet? For two years?"
  • 1:23:34 Destiny requests for Boogie to show a single document with his cancer diagnosis on it. Destiny goes on to explain that Boogie likely just has Polycythemia, an elevation of red blood cells, and not cancer. Boogie responds that Destiny can see his medical records when he dies.
  • 1:25:26 Destiny questions why Boogie would need to confirm his cancer diagnoses with a Biopsy if the cancer was evident in his blood markers.
  • 1:29:37 Destiny questions why Boogie would spend money on a biopsy he did not require if the diagnosis was already allegedly confirmed.
  • 1:30:47 Destiny lays out the entire story once more. He goes on to explain that all the leading symptoms and following treatments relating to Boogie's diagnosis are consistent with Secondary Polycythemia(the non-cancer form). Destiny further explains that Boogie's claim of needing money for a bone-marrow biopsy, despite allegedly confirming the diagnosis two years ago with bloodmarkers, is another lie for boogie to take more money from his audience under false pretenses. Destiny concludes that Boogie could simply disprove all these claims by providing a document showing the cancer diagnosis.

@Boogie2988
According to the internet i "Lied about cancer."

However for the last 2 years I've been treating the symptoms of that cancer. Blood tests, medications, and so much more.

We still have one test left to do to verify WHICH cancer it is. For now, we have been treating the Polycthemia Vera which is the cancer they TOLD me that I have.

My brother has seen it in my medical charts. My Girlfriend and best friend have been present when the doctor spoke of it.

We are now doing more tests to confirm the Polycthemia Vera, or determine if there is a second cancer present. We are starting with a colonoscopy to see if there is cancer present there, as I've shown signs that prostate cancer is present.

I was panicked when my doctor told me I had cancer 2 years ago and when I was in a vulnerable state I shared that long before I should have. It was a stupid, stupid thing to do. I should have never jumped the gun like that.

I have NEVER done a go fund me. I have NEVER asked my audience for money to treat this cancer. I never have and never will.

In fact in my years as a youtuber I've donated and helped raise tens of thousands of dollars to St Jude's Cancer Research hospital, to help people suffering with cancer.

My father died of cancer. My best friend from childhood died of cancer. My friend John (total biscuit) died of cancer.

Cancer is not something I would ever lie about. But I should have waited for the final tests to be done and not just repeated what my doctor had to say that day.

i'm sorry that I ever spoke of it and moving foward no matter what happens I will not speak of it publicly.

I consider this a closed matter and now will make sure it remains a private battle that is shared only with my closest loved ones.

I'm sorry for those hurt or offended by either the rumors that have floated around, or by my actions when I spoke too early about my cancer.

Of all the mistakes and fuck ups I've ever made in this life, this was the one that will haunt me to the bitter end, as it should.

I'm genuinely sorry.

Destiny reacts to Boogie's remarks towards him on Lolcow Live and twitlonger

BOOGIE2988 RESPONDS To Destiny
Boogie states polycythemia vera is not on his medical portal

On July 15, 2024 Boogie, while on LolCow Live, levied several attacks on Destiny's character following the attempted assasination of Donald Trump. Upon receiving the clip, Destiny outlines how he believe he caught Boogie lying about his polycythemia vera diagnosis:

  • Boogie being on testosterone treatment, being obese, and having sleep apnea, are all causes for Secondary Polycythemia, and not polycythemia vera.
  • Upon asking Boogie if his doctor ever informed him that he had cancer, Boogie hesitated, and Destiny concluded Boogie never received a cancer diagnosis.
  • Boogie reiterated several times during their call that his "hormone levels were elevated". Destiny explains that the elevation of the specific hormone Boogie was referring to, would actually be reduced in a polycythemia vera diagnosis.
  • Boogie never brought up the three primary ways for diagnosing polycythemia vera:
  1. Elevation of red blood cells with a reduction/lower level of the aforementioned blood cell producing hormone.
  2. A bone biopsy.
  3. An elevation of red blood cells coupled with a JAK2 mutation.
  • The fact that Boogie claimed to have the disease, but refused to verify his diagnosis after "scamming" his audience for $5,000 .

Destiny reiterates how his disgust for Boogie's "self-victimizing" behavior coupled with his personal experiences dealing with friends and loved-ones having cancer, impassioned him to come out so hard against Boogie. Shortly after, Destiny begins watching the Lolcow Live clip. In the clip, Boogie's levies the following criticisms towards Destiny:

  • Destiny has defended rapists in jail.
  • Destiny has laughed at the murder of a fireman .
  • Destiny supports Israel because his wife left him for an arab man.

Boogie claims to have "receipts" for all this information, to which Destiny remarks "my dawg, they're probably youtube videos published on my channel". The clip continues, and Boogie pulls up a clip of Joe Rogan calling Destiny "ridiculous" for reading wikipedia and participating in debates off the back of this information. Destiny responds with the following:

"There are limits to what wikipedia can tell you, but if you wanna criticize people for using online sources for research, then you have to be able to criticize the substance of what they're saying. Boogie if i'm wrong, just say how."[9]

Destiny

The clip continues, Boogie reasserts that he has polycythemia vera, holds up a bottle of pills, and points to his brother(an alleged healthcare professional) backing his cancer claims. Destiny expresses skepticism once more, questioning why Boogie is seemingly willing to hold up a bottle of pills but not willing to provide documentation pertaining to his diagnosis. Destiny is also skeptical of Boogie claiming his brother is a "healthcare professional", arguing his brother is a PHD, Wikipedia not an MD. Wikipedia

Destiny then begins reading the Twitlonger Boogie had pinned to his account. Destiny responds with the following to portions of the tweet:

"However for the last 2 years I've been treating the symptoms of that cancer. Blood tests, medications, and so much more."

Destiny explains that while Boogie's mention of bloodletting is consistent with a polycythemia diagnosis, such treatment is common for both polycythemia-vera and secondary-polycythemia.

"We still have one test left to do to verify WHICH cancer it is. For now, we have been treating the Polycythemia Vera which is the cancer they TOLD me that I have."

Destiny is unsure why Boogie is making mention of other cancers which may cause an elevation of red blood cells, as he did not come across any cancers which may cause that same condition in his research. Destiny then questions how Boogie knows his "cancer" is being treated correctly if he's not even sure which cancer he has, and why Boogie tweeted out he had verified his polycythemia vera diagnosis initially.

"We are now doing more tests to confirm the Polycthemia Vera, or determine if there is a second cancer present. We are starting with a colonoscopy to see if there is cancer present there, as I've shown signs that prostate cancer is present."

Destiny expresses further confusion, arguing that the treatment for prostate cancer is not bloodletting.

"I was panicked when my doctor told me I had cancer 2 years ago and when I was in a vulnerable state I shared that long before I should have. It was a stupid, stupid thing to do. I should have never jumped the gun like that."

Destiny expresses even further confusion, questioning why Boogie's doctor informed him he had cancer, but refrained from saying which type of cancer, and waited two years to test for which one.

"I have NEVER done a go fund me. I have NEVER asked my audience for money to treat this cancer. I never have and never will."

Destiny points out that Boogie used his cancer as an excuse for his recent crypto-scam.

"i'm sorry that I ever spoke of it and moving foward no matter what happens I will not speak of it publicly."

Destiny questions why Boogie would simultaneously use his cancer to garner sympathy and indirectly earn money publically for two years, and refrain from speaking on it now that he is allegedly getting a confirming diagnosis. Destiny then questions Boogie's claim four days ago that he was "looking at" his polycythemia diagnosis on his patient portal.

Upon completing reading Boogie's twitlonger, Destiny watches a brief clip wherein Boogie admits that Polycythemia Vera is not in his patient portal. Destiny eventually concludes his stream, remarking that boogie is a "disgusting, degenerate piece of shit" before signing off.

Reaction Highlights
  • 0:34 Destiny recounts Boogie's lie, outlining how external factors such as testosterone treatment, obesity, and sleep apnea all pointed to a likely diagnosis of secondary polycythemia. Destiny explains that secondary polycythemia occurs when one's body produces more red blood cells following the elevation of a particular hormone, to compensate for a lack of oxygenation (which could be caused by Testosterone treatment or sleep apnea) in one's blood. Destiny caveats that it's still possible that Boogie has cancer, which is why the first thing he asked Boogie during the show was if his doctor ever informed him that he had cancer. Upon Boogie's hesitancy to answer this question, Destiny concluded Boogie never received a cancer diagnosis.
  • 1:53 Destiny explains that an elevation of red blood cells, coupled with an elevation of the hormone that makes your body produce more red blood cells (which Boogie claims to have had), means he did not have polycythemia vera (as the absence of this hormone would indicate cancer).
  • 4:05 Destiny begins reacting to the LolCow Live clip. In the clip, Boogie is critical of Destiny's remarks following the attempted assasination of Donald Trump, and his support for Israel. Boogie goes on to assert his has "receipts" for these accusations, and argues the only reason Destiny supports Israel is because his wife left him for an Arab man.
  • 6:16 Boogie plays a clip of Joe Rogan talking about Destiny.
  • 7:00 Boogie reiterates that his doctor has been treating him for polycythemia vera, reiterates Destiny is not a doctor, and points to his brother's backing of his story.
  • 7:43 Boogie asserts his brother is a healthcare professional, Destiny
  • 12:54 Destiny is linked a short clip of Boogie discussing his diagnosis.

Boogie Admits to Faking his Cancer Diagnosis, Destiny and Mutahar confront him

Boogie Admits Fake Cancer Diagnosis, Gets FIRED & Grabs Kn*fe In HEATED Confrontation

On July 17, 2024, Destiny, Keemstar, and Mutahar confronted Boogie following his admission to faking a polycythemia-vera diagnosis. [10] Upon entering the call, Keemstar explains to Destiny what the "theme" of the show for the day is, and what Boogie's punishment is for faking cancer:

  • Boogie is fired from Lolcow Live
  • Boogie is forfeiting his golden YouTube play button and putting it up for auction (the money will go to charity).
  • Boogie must purchase a Mister Metokur hat (a content creator who actually has cancer).
  • Boogie is giving up Mountain Dew

Keemstar then asks Destiny if he predicted his accusation would result in Boogie's downfall. Destiny explains he was unsure what the exact end result of his accusations would be, and goes on to explain his motivation for looking into Boogie's false diagnosis. Destiny elaborates that Boogie's comment at the end of his conversation with Coffeezilla regarding the futility of his cancer, angered him enough to begin his own research on Boogie's diagnosis. The conversation continues, and Boogie informs Destiny that he is undergoing both a bone marrow biopsy and colonoscopy to confirm the presence of polycythemia vera. Boogie also states that he has been treated for polycythemia vera for the past two years, which is why he had undergone a sleep study and phlebotomy. When questioned, Boogie also informs Destiny that the "increased hormones" he had referred to in prior conversations was JAK2. Wikipedia Destiny accuses Boogie of lying entirely. Firstly, Destiny asserts that Boogie is mislabeling JAK2, a genetic marker, as a hormone/blood-marker. The real hormone Boogie is referring to is called Erythropoietin, Wikipedia and the doctors would perform bone marrow biopsies and checks of Boogie's blood markers specifically to find an elevation of this hormone to diagnose secondary polycythemia. Destiny goes on to explain that the test for polycythemia-vera involves utilizing a genetic test to find JAK2 alongside an elevation of red blood cells and a reduction of Erythropoietin.

"Everything you just said was a lie...the doctor is not doing a biopsy to confirm okay, that's not true. You can make positive diagnosis of polycythemia-vera if you have the genetic markers, it's not a hormone, it's a genetic marker, but when you said that you had an elevation of a hormone, I don't think you were lying about that you were being truthful, the hormone you're referring to is called Erythropoietin... but that hormone that's elevated, it's elevated because that's the hormone that's being produced that's telling your bone marrow to create more red blood cells, because it's secondary polycythemia. You don't have JAK2, that wouldn't be a hormone, it wouldn't be a marker, it would be a gene test that you would do. You would know because you would pay specifically for genetic testing, and he would specifically test for that genetic gene, and if you have that JAK2 marker, plus an elevation in your red blood cells, and you don't have the presence of that hormone in your blood. That wouldn't need a biopsy, you wouldn't need a biopsy for that."[11]

Destiny

While Boogie denies everything Destiny stated, he attempts to apologize to Destiny for misleading him about the diagnosis. Destiny rejects this apology, argues Boogie is in no position to make such an apology given the severity of the lie, and should not expect any sympathy. The remainder of the call gradually increases in tension, with Boogie routinely denying assertions from Destiny/calls for him to display medical records, coupled with Boogie attempting to levie attacks on Destiny's own character. This culminated in Boogie retrieving a knife and threatening to self-harm, causing the conversation to be cut short. Highlights include:

A tweet showing Boogie saying he's dying. Displayed shortly after Boogie claimed he has never made such a statement on stream. 34:33
  • 14:55 Boogie maintains that while his doctor never said the word "cancer", they did say he had polycythemia vera. Destiny denies this, arguing that his doctor would never tell him he had polycythemia vera without saying the word "cancer". Boogie later blames this on his difficulty in understanding his doctor.
  • 18:34 Destiny asks Boogie what the "unique expensive cancer treatment" he's paying for is. Boogie begins explaining he does monthly blood tests, but is cut off by before he can continue. Destiny remarks that he does monthly blood tests for STDs himself, accuses Boogie of lying once more, and calls Boogie a horrible human person. Boogie then attempts to deflect to Destiny's remarks of indifference regarding a firefighter who was inadvertently shot and killed in the midst of the attempted assasination of Donald Trump. Boogie brings up that his father was a former firemen who died of cancer, to which Mutahar calls out the clear deflection.
  • 20:25 Destiny points out Boogie's "manipulation tactic" where, after being cornered with evidence about his lies, he attempts to own up only to those aspects of his story that he could no longer defend. Destiny goes on to assert that while Boogie may seemingly be admitting fault and seeking forgiveness, he continues to manipulate other details around the situation, thereby still misleading the audience and his detractors about other aspects of his health and actions. Destiny explains that this approach allowed Boogie to appear remorseful and accountable without fully being so, as he was selectively acknowledging only certain truths that had become too evident to deny.
  • 22:18 Boogie accuses Destiny of being just as much of a bad person as himself. Mutahar pokes fun at Boogie for attempting to take any "moral high ground" after faking cancer.
  • 27:14 Boogie described an interaction with his sleep doctor who allegedly mentioned "polycythemia vera." This mention led Boogie to Google the term, causing him to believe he might have cancer. Destiny was suspicious of this for several reasons: Firstly, it was unusual for a sleep specialist, typically focused on sleep disorders, to discuss or diagnose a blood condition like polycythemia vera. Furthermore, Destiny found it suspicious that such a serious condition was communicated so informally without clear confirmation from a more relevant medical professional.
Boogie threatening to self harm.
  • 32:38 Boogie claims his polycythemia vera diagnosis was confirmed by his primary care physician, to which Destiny questions why Boogie needs a biopsy two years after the diagnosis was already allegedly confirmed. Boogie asserts that he wanted the biopsy done, to which Destiny questions if Boogie's insurance company would allow him to run whatever test he'd like.
  • 34:33 Boogie claims that he hasn't been saying he's dying.
  • 36:31 Destiny questions how the lifestyle changes(diet and excercise) Boogie is claiming to attempt would treat Polycythemia Vera, and argues such changes would only aid in individual with Secondary Polycythemia. Destiny proclaims: "you don't treat cancer with exercise!" Boogie goes on to claim that he would be willing to share his medical records with Keemstar, to which Destiny argues anything coming directly from Boogie is untrustworthy.
  • 42:17 Following Boogie's asserting that his sleep doctor informed him he had cancer, Destiny points out that Boogie stated earlier no physician said the word "cancer" around him. Boogie argues that his doctor did not speak good english and there may have been a miscommunication, to which Destiny questions Boogie's ability to understand "polycythemia vera" from his doctor but not the word "cancer".
  • 46:38 Boogie discusses his use of a CPAP machine, despite his doctors deeming it unnecessary given that he doesn't have sleep apnea. Destiny questions why Boogie would use a CPAP machine despite not having sleep apnea, Boogie informs Destiny that he is doing so because he doesn't want to die.
  • 49:13 Following an impassioned speech from Boogie regarding being suicidal, Destiny argues that Boogie loves himself too much to go through with a suicide attempt. Destiny goes on to assert that Boogie is too narcissistic to kill himself, and would let the world burn to ashes before doing so. In response, Boogie lifts his shirt, claims that his overweight condition is a form of self-harm, and confesses that he no longer enjoys the taste of food. When Destiny questions why he drinks diet soda if he no longer enjoys food, Boogie responds that drinking diet Mountain Dew is another form of self-harm.
  • 2:11:41(LolcowLive vod) Following boogie's claim that drinking diet Mountain Dew is a form of self harm, Destiny argues that a razor blade would be a cheaper alternative. In response, Boogie grabs a knife and threatens to cut himself. The call ends shortly after.
Confrontation timestamps

  • 4:47 Boogie explains how loved ones he knew died of cancer, and that cancer eventually comes back.
  • 5:29 Keemstar concludes that Boogie wants cancer, Boogie chimes in and states that he deserves cancer.
  • 6:42 Boogie calls the genetic mutation for Polycythemia Vera(JAK2), a hormone. Destiny later calls him out for this
  • 7:06 Destiny explains why everything boogie just said is a lie.
  • 7:39 Mutahar joins the call
  • 8:51 Destiny rejects Boogie's apology, arguing he cannot tell a lie this bad for two years, get dragged kicking and screaming into apologizing, and expect redemption.
  • 10:38 Keemstar asks Mutahar what he believes Boogie should do. Mutahar argues Boogie should donate to charity.
  • 13:15 Boogie asks Destiny to verify the veracity of claims made by the charity he is donating $1,000 to. Destiny refuses to do so, informs Boogie he is not here to "offer condolences" or appease him in any way, just so he can feel some sympathy.
  • 14:00 Boogie says he doesn't want to "accidently lie" anymore. Destiny denies this, and explains why he believes Boogie intentionally lied.
  • 14:55 Boogie says his doctor never told him he had cancer.
  • 17:20 Boogie states that while his doctor never said he had cancer, he did say he had polycythemia vera. Destiny refuses to believe that Boogie's doctor would diagnose him with polycythemia vera without using the word "cancer", to which Boogie blames his difficulty to comprehend his doctor on occasion.
  • 17:42 Destiny asks Boogie if he tweeted from his brother's account. Boogie denies doing so.
