The metal pipe sound effect (also sometimes called "getting piped") is a short clip often embedded into other clips or hidden in hyper-links in order to bait someone (usually Destiny, sometimes Dan or Lycan especially on Anything Else?) into clicking the link to play the loud and obnoxious sound effect to the entire stream. Chatters generally have a positive reception of the meme. Some users protest it's exhaustive usage, comparing it to the Obamna meme.
