Portal problem

The portal problem is a hypothetical physics problem which asks the viewer whether or not, given portals from the video game series Portal were to exist, how a cube would react to being to having a portal slammed down upon it. The first result (denoted as A in the photograph) shows a cube plopping down with little energy to the floor, while the second result (marked B) shows the cube being launched through the air vertically. The problem was (and remains) hotly contested within DGG with strong and varied opinions among chatters, orbiters, and even between Destiny and Dan, in a manner similar to the more contemporary YEE vs PEPE conflict.
