Emotes, short for "emoticons", are visual symbols used in digital communication to convey emotions, reactions, or concepts. They add context and emotional nuance to written text, helping to clarify the tone and intent of a message. Emotes are widely used in streaming sphere and knowing the meaning behind the emotes can provide another level of engagement and interaction between streamers and their audiences.
Combos
Combos serve the purpose of tidying up chat discussions and measuring the strength of specific emotes. When several individuals in the chat synchronously type the same emote in a consecutive manner, it triggers a effect. There is a common occurrence during large combos of chatters using the emote to break the combo. (These chatters are universally disliked by everyone.)
