Kick is a livestreaming platform that has been mired in controversy since it's announcement, with many streamers criticizing it's allowance and promotion of gambling on the streaming service, as well as it's lack of enforcement of its terms of service and content moderation, an issue that was even called to attention by Kick co-founder Trainwreckstv.

Kick is also notable for it's 95/5 streamer-to-platform revenue split which is widely marketed as it's primary advantage, as at the time of introduction the best of deals with Twitch—Kick's primary competitor—the revenue split went as high as 50% for the creator.

Destiny

Destiny currently streams on Kick, and originally signed a 3 month deal with Kick in March of 2023 as a test-trial, with 8 Kick-exclusive streams a month.[1]

In late June/July of 2023, after the first Kick deal trial run, Destiny re-signed a year deal with Kick.[2] As part of the contract, Destiny was required to remove DGG Chat's on-screen display and replace it with Kick chat, as well as disabling the DGG BigScreen embedded video player in order to drive DGGers to to make and chat on Kick. Additionally, as part of the contract, Destiny retained rights to multistream on platforms like YouTube.

It was rumored, but not confirmed, that a Kick-exclusive gameshow was part of the contract (or in the spirit of the contract) resulting in the abomination known as Kick or Keep, and the spawn of Quiznos, who would come to haunt DGG for several months until his eventual self-ejection from orbit.
