'''DGG Chat''' is a live chat hosted on [[Destiny.gg]] to chat about [[Destiny]]'s stream when he is live, and used for communication between [[DGG]] members when he is offline. DGG chat is unique in that it allows for streams across various platforms ([[Kick]], [[YouTube]], [[Twitch]], etc.) and watch along with other DGGers, common favorites include Mr. [[xQc]]ow, [[Forsen]], [[DariusIRL]], as well as embedded streams (typically movies) [[conductor|conducted]] by [[chatters]].

DGG is meant to be a chatroom, with a unique character not unlike the IRC chats of old. With these rules we seek to preserve this culture, foster a welcoming community, and please Destiny and chatters alike.
Keeping with the spirit of Ezra Klein’s and Derek Thompson’s ''Abundance'', the philosophy moving forward for the moderation policies of Destiny.gg (“DGG,” or “the chat”) can be summarized in the following manner: too much, or too little, red tape leads to dysfunction and disorganization.

In an ideal world, the chat would exist with minimal intervention. As the community grows, however, the possibility of this becomes less-and-less likely. On the other hand, there is also validity in the desire to preserve the customs and mores of the chat. Often, in the pursuit of change or progress, those with good intentions forget these norms and end up unintentionally impeding the growth they sought.

The purpose of this page is to illustrate a vision for the chat that captures the essence of abundance–a chat that demonstrates both temperance and responsibility.

=== Conducting ===
=== Disclaimer ===
The largest Set of rules concern [[Conductor| conducting]], streaming to DGG as a chatter. As a general set of rules:
Rules are applied and altered at the discretion of the moderation team (“Moderation”), allowing for flexibility in the dynamic environment of the chat.
* Do not stream while Destiny is live.
* Stop streaming if you are streaming and Destiny signals his intent to go live.
* Do not use DGG to harass and/or interact with small/random streamers/communities.
* Do not stream to chat for your own monetary gain.
* Do not stream during typical and/or expected stream times.
* If you are going to conduct something, be focused, do not simply be a conduit for whatever chat desires at that moment.
* If the content which you want to conduct is not listed here, assume it is not allowed, but feel free to ask moderation about special cases.
* Do not link or embed a streamer from outside the community who is conducting a movie/TV show.
* After conducting time ends, you must cease streaming. For at least a half hour, no form of streaming to chat is allowed.

====Cinema====
Unique situations occur all the time, and not every circumstance is going to be covered in this article.
* If Destiny has not said he is modifying his typical schedule, see the normal schedule.
* If Destiny goes on vacation for more than '''two days''' (no stream exceeding 1-2 hours) in a pre-planned manner, movies will be extended via the vacation schedule.
* In the case that Destiny leaves for a day or two, and he states this in a pre-planned manner, [[flair]]ed conductors can stream one movie each day he is gone at their preferred time, within the time frame of 11:00AM-10:00PM.

=== General Rules ===
The following rules will largely remain intact, with additional details on a few in later sections:
{| class=wikitable
! 1. Respect Destiny and Stream Guests
| Direct criticism is acceptable. There is a line between good faith criticism and baseless insults, though. Any accusations of “bad faith” or “lying” are unwelcome unless they are supported by incredibly powerful evidence; if you think either Destiny or some frequent member of the stream is engaged in blatant lies, why even bother participating, unless simply to anti-fan?
|-
! 2. No Doxxing
| Posting someone's personally identifiable information (PII) for the purposes of creating harassment or trouble for them is not acceptable. Some things are plainly allowed, such as the state a congressman lives in, and some things are plainly disallowed, such as a streamer's phone number or home address. If you're confused, ask yourself if it's necessary to reveal the PII in order to convey whatever it is you're trying to convey.
|-
! 3. No Threats of Violence
| Do not make genuine threats of violence, nor encourage other people to commit individual acts of violence or terrorism. Some limited exceptions apply to this, e.g. wishing one side to win a war, but if you play cute with this you will incur swift punishment.
|-
! 4. No Bigotry
| Edgy jokes are funny, but not in the presence of genuine bigotry. It's okay to make jokes about every group of people, but if people (or the mods) are getting the impression that you're venturing into genuinely hateful territory, expect some behavioral correction. Genuinely hateful and racist remarks will be harshly punished.
|-
! 5. No Sexual Comments about Women
| Sexual or appearance-based comments about women are some of the most otherizing remarks that are commonly made in the community. Unless the content is directly inviting these types of comments (e.g. saying a woman looks sexy in a bikini contest), these types of comments should be entirely avoided.
|-
! 6. Attack Arguments, not Attributes
| Especially when it comes to large political disagreements, the focus should be on criticizing the poor or untrue arguments made by the people we disagree with. Spamming pictures of Trump, accompanied with "fat lol" or "bald lol" is not constructive, leads to a lot of collateral damage, and is overall detrimental to the disposition and perception of the community.
|-
! 7. No Organized Harassment or Reporting
| Calling for other people to engage in hateful or unconstructive behavior against others is prohibited. Calling for people to engage with other groups or content creators in comment sections or other public places generally doesn't rise to the level of harassment, but calling for people to simply demean or attack others, especially individuals, likely would. Mass reporting or emailing campaigns are likewise not permitted, unless directed by or part of some broader campaign greenlit by the moderators or Destiny.
|-
! 8. No NSFW Posting*
| There are plenty of places on the internet to share and enjoy NSFW images, but there's no reason why it needs to be posted in this community. If people want to make references to NSFW stuff that is news worthy, or NSFW due to it being gory (e.g. about ongoing war or conflict images, or certain memes), that's acceptable, but just linking to pornographic or adult material is generally not allowed.
|-
! 9. Do not Harass Moderators
| If you need assistance from a moderator for some particular thing, then request assistance in the ordinary and regular manner. Do not incessantly ping or spam moderators for your personal pet project.
|-
! 10. No Concern Trolling
| Sometimes people make mistakes, sometimes things need to be changed, it is both possible and easy to express these concerns without the doom and gloom people so commonly attach to them. Saying "hey, maybe we should re-examine or change rule x, due to abc reasons" is totally fine, saying "wow, rule x is why no one will ever take us seriously, this is why every person on the internet hates us, this is the end of our community" is difficult to engage with and doesn't foster productive conversation.

=== The Code of Conduct(ing) ===
{{disambiguation|1=Check out the [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WZmBfmoHCZgMUgCALcReaWDfOb3u5XHy6GC2c7T5fmQ/edit?gid=593272894#gid=593272894 DGG Movie Sheet] or the [https://letterboxd.com/dggmoobies/ DGG Letterboxd] to see movies that DGG has watched.}}
Watching movies is a great way for chatters to bond with one another. It allows for large communities, such as this, to come together and share laughs and build friendships. That said, there are also times where movies can be uninviting to newcomers who are trying to understand the culture of the chat, as well as cumbersome for chatters who just want to chat. In addition to this, Destiny himself has expressed discontent with the idea of streaming movies every time he goes offline.
Put simply: there’s a time and place for both movies and regular chatting.
In an effort to strike this balance, as well as allow chatters from all corners of the globe to have access to movie streams, chatters will get more time to watch on the weekends, but will remain restricted on weekdays (barring special events).
==== Flaired Conductors ====
The following guidelines are for selection process and streaming rights of Flaired Conductors (“Conductors”):
* Conductors are chosen by either:
** Appointment from the Head Moderator; or
** A popular vote of the chat at a Conductor Election, as called by the Head Moderator.
* Conductors are the '''only''' chatters allowed to stream movies or shows in DGG, barring extraordinary circumstances (e.g., no Conductors are available or during special events), as determined at the discretion of Moderation.
** Conductors from other streamers' channels (e.g., Erobb or Forsen) are prohibited from being embedded in DGG.
** Streamers who occasionally show movies (e.g., NymN or CarolineKwan) are temporarily blocked while they are conducting.
* Only one Conductor may stream at a time.
* After every two movies, Conductors must run a poll to determine whether they can either:
** Continue conducting;
** Allow another Conductor to take over; or
** Stop streaming movies for a minimum or two hours or the rest of the allotted time for the day, whichever is closer.
*** The votes for the first two options are added together.
*** If the chat votes to continue conducting, the option with more votes wins.
*** If the chat votes to continue conducting with a new Conductor, and no other Conductor is available, the current Conductor may continue for two more movies.
* Conductors are not allowed to stream:
** While Destiny is live;
** For monetary gain;
** Hatewatching/restreaming content from people the community dislikes; or
** React content (e.g., YouTube reacts).
* If a Conductor also happens to be a streamer, they are not allowed to go live within one hour of ending their conducting stream.
These are the current Flaired Conductors, including their respective streaming timezones:

====Hate-watching====
The following guidelines are for when Destiny is away from stream:
Feel free to be insane and watch something you hate, but re-streaming any such content is discouraged. Do not re-stream [[Hasan]] simply because he is saying crazy stuff and people are watching him in chat. If something crazy is happening and worth
* If Destiny goes on vacation for more than two days (with no stream exceeding 1-2 hours), and he states this in a pre-planned manner, movies will be extended via the following Vacation Movie Schedule:

====Radio====
{| class="wikitable"
Feel free to share your love of music with other chatters during offline chat, some guidelines apply:

==== Polling ====
The following guidelines are for the selection processes for movies while conducting:
* Movie selections are not required to be polled by Conductors
* Polls are conducted via [https://dinkdonk.mov dinkDonk.mov] (made by Mitch).
* If a Conductor chooses to conduct a poll, they must abide by the results of the poll.
* If a Conductor plays a TV show outside of an allocated TV show timeslot, they must poll after 2 hours of runtime to continue or not.
** A simple majority (50%+1) is needed to continue the series, otherwise another selection must be made.
* To officially request a movie, chatters may use this [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdEz9u_ia7wdEvANqjRKeuskfGW9swbl5OSX6c8yOvKLccVtw/viewform Google Form].
* To view the movies that have been previously watched by chat, click [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WZmBfmoHCZgMUgCALcReaWDfOb3u5XHy6GC2c7T5fmQ/edit?usp=sharing here].

==== Conflicts Between Conductors ====
The following rules determine the order in which Conductors go live, as well as the mechanism for determining disputes between Conductors:
* When another Conductor calls dibs to stream next, the current Conductor must place a text box on the screen that says "Next Conductor: [Name]" at all times to prevent confusion.
* In the event of a conflict between two or more Conductors attempting to stream simultaneously, the Conductor with the fewest streams within the past two weeks gets to stream first.
* In the event a Conductor with fewer streams wants to replace the current Conductor, they would take over at the time when the current Conductor would vote to continue conducting.

==== Live TV (The Hamster_Hawk Amendment) ====
The following outlines the guidelines for streaming or embedding Live TV (e.g., sports or late night talk shows) in DGG:
* Conductors cannot stream Live TV outside of scheduled streaming times, unless authorized by Moderation.
* Chatters cannot embed foreign channels (e.g., Forsen or Erobb conductors) streaming Live TV, unless authorized by Moderation.
* Chatters may embed ''legal'' broadcasts of news, educational content, or sports (e.g., Bloomberg News, AP News, BBC Earth, Thursday Night Football on Twitch, etc.)
* Chatters may embed ''major'' sports events (e.g., playoff games, the Olympics, the World Cup) in DGG, with permission from Moderation.

=== Streaming to Chat ===
Chatters are not precluded from having a stream of their own. However, they must also build a community of their own instead of using DGG as a platform to launch their streaming careers. Moderation reserves the right to restrict and/or remove any streams at their discretion.
==== Streaming Rules ====
If a chatter wants to share their personal stream with DGG, they must adhere to these guidelines:
* They cannot interact with DGG in any capacity, such as:
** Putting the chat on the screen;
** Responding to messages from the chat; or
** Streaming content that DGG is explicitly calling for
* They cannot be in DGG if Destiny is live while they are streaming
* They may only post their embed once per stream, with permission from Moderation
** If other chatters choose to share their embed (without spamming), that is generally acceptable

==== State-Sponsored Media ====
There are certain streams that exist solely to enhance DGG as a community (“Community Streams”). The following outlines the guidelines for Community Streams:
* Chatters that wish to establish a Community Stream must be sanctioned by the Head Moderator.
** Once sanctioned by the Head Moderator, Community Streams do not need to be authorized by Moderation every time they go live.
* Community Streams can use DGG chat and have it appear on-screen.
* Community Streams cannot stream while Destiny is live.
* Community Streams cannot stream for monetary gain (e.g., receive subscriptions or donations)
** Anything Else and MrGemzar's stream are exceptions given their work for Destiny.
* Community Streams cannot link to another personal stream.

====Games====
The following streams are currently considered Community Streams:
It is discouraged to stream a game involving collaboration between chat and the conductor, such as {{wiki|The Jackbox Party Pack|<i>Jackbox</i>|.}} If you still decide to do so, limit the session to an hour or less (this limit will apply for an entire 24 hour period on all similar forms).
* [[Anything Else?|Anything Else]] by Dan & MrMouton
* [https://kick.com/dggevents DGG Events] by Pagi & Elruem
* [https://kick.com/thedggreport The DGG Report] by EthiopianHussein, CaseNewmark & ZipZip45
* [[DGG Radio|dggJams]] by picklesnathan, swagy_swagerson, Ark, & peezy
* [https://kick.com/gemzar Art Streams] by MrGemzar
* [https://kick.com/sfb-7 Lo-Fi/Studying Streams] by SFB7
* [https://kick.com/dggTrivia DGG Trivia] by Nuddel
Some chatters may want to occasionally stream for the community, while not being considered a Community Stream:
* While it is generally discouraged, chatters may stream a collaborative game (e.g., Jackbox) or chat debates for up to one hour, with permission from Moderation.

====Debates====
=== Flairs ===
This is currently a bit gray, if you wish to hash out a chatroom debate in voice, feel free to stream it, but do not abuse this privilege. If such an event becomes regular, just start streaming for your own chat. Note that live streaming any debate in the [[Destiny.gg Discord]] is strictly forbidden.
{{disambiguation|Main Article: [[Flairs]]}}
The current flair system has become antiquated and riddled with inconsistencies. As such, some flairs will be consolidated, and some new ones will be added.

===Linkers===
Below are the flairs that can be awarded to chatters (upon verification by emailing contact@destiny.gg), as well as the prerequisites for attaining them:
Unlike many online chatrooms, linking in DGG is not only allowed but often time encouraged. As a general rule of thumb, spamming links will get you banned. If you've posted a link once, don't post it again, everyone in chat has probably seen it, and so has Destiny, even if he didn't comment on it.
{| class=wikitable

|}

Posting an irrelevant meme with the misleading tag, e.g. "@Destiny Will you address these allegations? <nowiki>[</nowiki>[[pipe]]MemeLink]" will usually come with a ban.
==== Posting NSFW ====
The proliferation of NSFW posts, specifically ''sexually-explicit material'', has left many chatters uncomfortable and longing for a change in the philosophy for its moderation.
In order to foster a more inclusive environment for chatters to engage with, while preserving some norms of the chat, the following approach will be applied:
* Moderation has the right to remove stream embeds or chat messages that they consider to be NSFW.
* Under no circumstance is posting sexually-explicit NSFW material allowed while Destiny is live.
* If chatters feel that this policy is being over- or under-enforced, they may discuss it with Moderation.

====NSFW====
==== Miscellaneous Provisions ====
Posting NSFW has a long history in DGG, but over the years as Destiny has sought to lessen the "boys club" nature of chat, NSFW posting has been curbed.
* Chatters are prohibited from sharing or soliciting user scripts that circumvent the enforcement of rules (e.g., scripts that unblock banned embeds).
* Posting NSFW during stream must be extremely relevant, otherwise expect a ban.

Destiny's chat can be difficult to navigate and use at points if you are trying to do specific things. Thankfully the community has made various sites and scripts to try and help you chatters enjoy the chat more.

DGG Chat is a live chat hosted on Destiny.gg to chat about Destiny's stream when he is live, and used for communication between DGG members when he is offline. DGG chat is unique in that it allows for streams across various platforms (Kick, YouTube, Twitch, etc.) and watch along with other DGGers, common favorites include Mr. xQcow, Forsen, DariusIRL, as well as embedded streams (typically movies) conducted by chatters.

Chat Guidelines

Keeping with the spirit of Ezra Klein’s and Derek Thompson’s Abundance, the philosophy moving forward for the moderation policies of Destiny.gg (“DGG,” or “the chat”) can be summarized in the following manner: too much, or too little, red tape leads to dysfunction and disorganization.

Disclaimer

Rules are applied and altered at the discretion of the moderation team (“Moderation”), allowing for flexibility in the dynamic environment of the chat.

Unique situations occur all the time, and not every circumstance is going to be covered in this article.

General Rules

The following rules will largely remain intact, with additional details on a few in later sections:

1. Respect Destiny and Stream Guests Direct criticism is acceptable.
2. No Doxxing Posting someone's personally identifiable information (PII) for the purposes of creating harassment or trouble for them is not acceptable. Some things are plainly allowed, such as the state a congressman lives in, and some things are plainly disallowed, such as a streamer's phone number or home address. If you're confused, ask yourself if it's necessary to reveal the PII in order to convey whatever it is you're trying to convey.
3. No Threats of Violence Do not make genuine threats of violence, nor encourage other people to commit individual acts of violence or terrorism. Some limited exceptions apply to this, e.g. wishing one side to win a war, but if you play cute with this you will incur swift punishment.
4. No Bigotry Edgy jokes are funny, but not in the presence of genuine bigotry. It's okay to make jokes about every group of people, but if people (or the mods) are getting the impression that you're venturing into genuinely hateful territory, expect some behavioral correction. Genuinely hateful and racist remarks will be harshly punished.
5. No Sexual Comments about Women Sexual or appearance-based comments about women are some of the most otherizing remarks that are commonly made in the community. Unless the content is directly inviting these types of comments (e.g. saying a woman looks sexy in a bikini contest), these types of comments should be entirely avoided.
6. Attack Arguments, not Attributes Especially when it comes to large political disagreements, the focus should be on criticizing the poor or untrue arguments made by the people we disagree with. Spamming pictures of Trump, accompanied with "fat lol" or "bald lol" is not constructive, leads to a lot of collateral damage, and is overall detrimental to the disposition and perception of the community.
7. No Organized Harassment or Reporting Calling for other people to engage in hateful or unconstructive behavior against others is prohibited.
8. No NSFW Posting* There are plenty of places on the internet to share and enjoy NSFW images, but there's no reason why it needs to be posted in this community. If people want to make references to NSFW stuff that is news worthy, or NSFW due to it being gory (e.g. about ongoing war or conflict images, or certain memes), that's acceptable, but just linking to pornographic or adult material is generally not allowed.
9. Do not Harass Moderators If you need assistance from a moderator for some particular thing, then request assistance in the ordinary and regular manner. Do not incessantly ping or spam moderators for your personal pet project.
10. No Concern Trolling Sometimes people make mistakes, sometimes things need to be changed, it is both possible and easy to express these concerns without the doom and gloom people so commonly attach to them.

The Code of Conduct(ing)

Flaired Conductors

The following guidelines are for selection process and streaming rights of Flaired Conductors (“Conductors”):

  • Conductors are chosen by either:
    • Appointment from the Head Moderator; or
    • A popular vote of the chat at a Conductor Election, as called by the Head Moderator.
  • Conductors are the only chatters allowed to stream movies or shows in DGG, barring extraordinary circumstances (e.g., no Conductors are available or during special events), as determined at the discretion of Moderation.
    • Conductors from other streamers' channels (e.g., Erobb or Forsen) are prohibited from being embedded in DGG.
    • Streamers who occasionally show movies (e.g., NymN or CarolineKwan) are temporarily blocked while they are conducting.
  • Only one Conductor may stream at a time.
  • After every two movies, Conductors must run a poll to determine whether they can either:
    • Continue conducting;
    • Allow another Conductor to take over; or
    • Stop streaming movies for a minimum or two hours or the rest of the allotted time for the day, whichever is closer.
      • The votes for the first two options are added together.
      • If the chat votes to continue conducting, the option with more votes wins.
      • If the chat votes to continue conducting with a new Conductor, and no other Conductor is available, the current Conductor may continue for two more movies.
  • Conductors are not allowed to stream:
    • While Destiny is live;
    • For monetary gain;
    • Hatewatching/restreaming content from people the community dislikes; or
    • React content (e.g., YouTube reacts).
  • If a Conductor also happens to be a streamer, they are not allowed to go live within one hour of ending their conducting stream.

These are the current Flaired Conductors, including their respective streaming timezones:

Polling

The following guidelines are for the selection processes for movies while conducting:

  • Movie selections are not required to be polled by Conductors
  • Polls are conducted via dinkDonk.mov (made by Mitch).
  • If a Conductor chooses to conduct a poll, they must abide by the results of the poll.
  • If a Conductor plays a TV show outside of an allocated TV show timeslot, they must poll after 2 hours of runtime to continue or not.
    • A simple majority (50%+1) is needed to continue the series, otherwise another selection must be made.
  • To officially request a movie, chatters may use this Google Form.
  • To view the movies that have been previously watched by chat, click here.

Conflicts Between Conductors

The following rules determine the order in which Conductors go live, as well as the mechanism for determining disputes between Conductors:

  • When another Conductor calls dibs to stream next, the current Conductor must place a text box on the screen that says "Next Conductor: [Name]" at all times to prevent confusion.
  • In the event of a conflict between two or more Conductors attempting to stream simultaneously, the Conductor with the fewest streams within the past two weeks gets to stream first.
  • In the event a Conductor with fewer streams wants to replace the current Conductor, they would take over at the time when the current Conductor would vote to continue conducting.

Live TV (The Hamster_Hawk Amendment)

The following outlines the guidelines for streaming or embedding Live TV (e.g., sports or late night talk shows) in DGG:

  • Conductors cannot stream Live TV outside of scheduled streaming times, unless authorized by Moderation.
  • Chatters cannot embed foreign channels (e.g., Forsen or Erobb conductors) streaming Live TV, unless authorized by Moderation.
  • Chatters may embed legal broadcasts of news, educational content, or sports (e.g., Bloomberg News, AP News, BBC Earth, Thursday Night Football on Twitch, etc.)
  • Chatters may embed major sports events (e.g., playoff games, the Olympics, the World Cup) in DGG, with permission from Moderation.

Streaming to Chat

Chatters are not precluded from having a stream of their own. However, they must also build a community of their own instead of using DGG as a platform to launch their streaming careers. Moderation reserves the right to restrict and/or remove any streams at their discretion.

Streaming Rules

If a chatter wants to share their personal stream with DGG, they must adhere to these guidelines:

  • They cannot interact with DGG in any capacity, such as:
    • Putting the chat on the screen;
    • Responding to messages from the chat; or
    • Streaming content that DGG is explicitly calling for
  • They cannot be in DGG if Destiny is live while they are streaming
  • They may only post their embed once per stream, with permission from Moderation
    • If other chatters choose to share their embed (without spamming), that is generally acceptable

State-Sponsored Media

There are certain streams that exist solely to enhance DGG as a community (“Community Streams”). The following outlines the guidelines for Community Streams:

  • Chatters that wish to establish a Community Stream must be sanctioned by the Head Moderator.
    • Once sanctioned by the Head Moderator, Community Streams do not need to be authorized by Moderation every time they go live.
  • Community Streams can use DGG chat and have it appear on-screen.
  • Community Streams cannot stream while Destiny is live.
  • Community Streams cannot stream for monetary gain (e.g., receive subscriptions or donations)
    • Anything Else and MrGemzar's stream are exceptions given their work for Destiny.
  • Community Streams cannot link to another personal stream.

The following streams are currently considered Community Streams:

Some chatters may want to occasionally stream for the community, while not being considered a Community Stream:

  • While it is generally discouraged, chatters may stream a collaborative game (e.g., Jackbox) or chat debates for up to one hour, with permission from Moderation.

Flairs

The current flair system has become antiquated and riddled with inconsistencies. As such, some flairs will be consolidated, and some new ones will be added.

Below are the flairs that can be awarded to chatters (upon verification by emailing contact@destiny.gg), as well as the prerequisites for attaining them:

Trusted Chatters that consistently post reliable/relevant links for Destiny’s stream
Contributor Chatters that contribute to DGG or Destiny’s stream (art, events, Community Streams, etc.)
Lawyer Chatters that have a JD and passed the bar exam
Medical Professional Chatters who are medical professionals
Broadcaster Chatters that have at least 1,000 followers and an average of 75 viewers per stream on Twitch, YouTube, or Kick
or
Friends of Destiny’s stream
Verified Chatters that are small streamers or otherwise notable
or
Friends of Destiny’s stream
Conductor Chatters that are allowed to stream movies and TV shows to chat
Law Enforcement Chatters that are experienced law enforcement officers (5+ years)
Lore Master Chatters that maintain LWOD or moderate the Destiny Wiki

Posting NSFW

The proliferation of NSFW posts, specifically sexually-explicit material, has left many chatters uncomfortable and longing for a change in the philosophy for its moderation. In order to foster a more inclusive environment for chatters to engage with, while preserving some norms of the chat, the following approach will be applied:

  • Moderation has the right to remove stream embeds or chat messages that they consider to be NSFW.
  • Under no circumstance is posting sexually-explicit NSFW material allowed while Destiny is live.
  • If chatters feel that this policy is being over- or under-enforced, they may discuss it with Moderation.

Miscellaneous Provisions

  • Chatters are prohibited from sharing or soliciting user scripts that circumvent the enforcement of rules (e.g., scripts that unblock banned embeds).
